Institute of Physics is an autonomous Research Institute of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), approved by Government of India. The research activity in the Institute centers on the areas of theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics, nuclear physics and high energy physics. Institute is offering one year pre doctoral program that invites all the successful candidates to apply for this program. Institute is located in Bhubaneswar that conducts admission on the basis of GATE and CSIR-UGC Test.

Eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must have done M.SC Physics with minimum of 55% aggregate to apply for this program.

• Candidates applying for this program must have cleared GATE or CSIR-UGC Entrance Test (NET) with 95 %ile.

NOTE:

• Candidates who have cleared JEST 2010 with minimum score of 95%ile need not send any application form. They will be contacted directly by the Institute.

• If a candidate has scored less than 95%ile in JEST 2011 but satisfies the criteria for GATE/NET as above, should also send application form.
