National Institute of Open Schooling was formed on November 3, 1989. The institute is actually a Government Board of School Education with its headquarter located at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is the Board of education for open school in India. The institute was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The main aim of the institute is to provide education facilities to the remote areas of the country. The institute is quite similar to CBSE and CISCE, as it also administers examinations for Seondary and Senior Secondary examinations of open schools.

National Institute of Open Schooling invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant posts of Joint Director (Media), Academic officer, Research and Evaluation Officer, Section Officer, Assistant Audit Officer, Translator and Library Assistant. Candidates will have to work purely on direct recruitment basis.

1. Recruitment of Joint Director (Media):

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Mass Communication alongwith Post Graduate Degree or Diploma from a recognized university. Candidates should also possess minimum 5 years experience.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with the Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

2. Recruitment of Academic Officer:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Candidates should also possess knowledge of computer applications.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with the Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

3. Recruitment of Research and Evaluation Officer:

Educational Qualification: Graduation degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute or university. Candidates should also have knowledge of computer operations.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with the Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

5. Recruitment of Assistant Audit Officer:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounts and Commerce with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. Working knowledge of computer operations and hindi/english language are also desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with the Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

6. Recruitment of Translator:

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree with Hindi or English as main subjects at degree level from a recognized institute or university. Minimum 2 years experience in translation work and working knowledge of computers are also necessary.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with the Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

7. Recruitment of Library Assistant:

Educational Qualification: Graduation alongwith Diploam in Library Science from a recognized university. Candidates should also have proficiency in Computer Applications.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with the Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.
