Pune University also called as University of Pune is one of the top-rated universities in India located in the northwestern part of the city of Pune. The university occupies an area of about 411 acres and was formed in the year 1949 on the 10th of February.

The university is well known as ‘oxford of the east’ and more than 45 academic departments are functioning under the university. Due to the excellent facilities offered by the university, many foreign students are also attracted towards the university apart from students from local region.

Good accommodation facilities are offered by the university and there is provision of hostels for students.
