The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) offers MBA degree in rare subjects such as International Business, Management Accounting, Operations Management, and Petroleum Refining Technology & Economics. Engineering graduates or M.Sc holders with at least 60% marks can apply. Regular students as well as sponsored category candidates can seek admission to this course. Admission of sponsored candidates is done through GD and interview. Other students can seek admission through written test, GD and interview.
The course of M.Sc. (Industrial Chemistry) is given through a few Universities of India such as Amity University, Lovely Professional University, Sri Venkateswara University, and Devi Ahilya University. Topics like Industrial Interface Chemistry, Industrial pollution and its environmental impact, Food and beverages industries, and Fine and Heavy Chemicals are included under its course curriculum. Very recently, ‘India Today’ has conducted a survey to identify the best science colleges in India for the year 2013. The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is conducted by Mysore University on behalf of Karnataka State Government. Master’s degree from a UGC recognized institute/ University with a minimum of 55% marks is the basic qualification required. Subject related topics as well as questions on comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness are asked for KSET. Qualified candidates in KSET are eligible for lectureship in the state of Karnataka.
