Rajasthan Public Service Commission was resulted after an ordinance was promugalted on August 16, 1949. Initially, the commission started off with only one Chairman and two members. Sir S. K. Ghosh was the first chairman of the commission. In order to regulate the working of the commission, two regulations were issued under the provisions of the COnstitution of India named The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulation, 1951 and The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation, 1951.

Job Profile:

Rajasthan Public Service Commission is making recruitment of eligible abd qualified candidates on the following responsible positions of Physiotherapist, Technical Assistant (Hydro Geology), Assistant Director Ayurved/ District Ayurved Officer/ Officer Incharge Pharmacy and Demonstrator (Ayurved) in different ministeries of offices of Government of Rajasthan. Rajasthan Public Service Commission will conduct competitive examination for making recruitment of candidates on the following positions:

1. Recruitment of Physiotherapist:
No. of posts: 36 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 16 to 35 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Secondary examination oe equivalent with Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institute of Government of India.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3600.

2. Recruitment of Technical Assistant (Hydro Geology):
No. of posts: 7 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 20 to 37 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess M.Sc. or M.Tech Degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3600.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Director Ayurved/ District Ayurved Officer/ Officer Incharge Pharmacy:
No. of posts: 24 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 20 to 45 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have worked as Ayurved Medical Officer for atleast 10 years in Ayurved Department of Government of Rajasthan.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

4. Recruitment of Demonstrator (Ayurved):
No. of posts: 10 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 21 to 37 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess 5 year Ayurved Degree Course i.e. B.A.M.S degree from a recognized institute or university.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

Submission of prescribed amount of application fee is must for applying on any of the above mentioned positions in Rajasthan Public Service Commission. The amount of application fee is different for candidates belonging to different categories i.e.

Rs. 250 is the amount for General candidates.
Rs. 150 is the amount for OBC categories candidates of non creamy layer.
Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

Selection Process:

A Selection Committee will take the Personal Interview Test of best suitable candidates or the shortlisted candidates (shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of the Competitive Written Examination).
