Union Bank of India is a leading Financial or Commercial bank with its headquarter located at Mumbai, India. It is the largest state owned bank of the country. Mavila Vishwanathan Nair is the Chair person of the bank. The bank was registered as a limited company on November 11, 1919. The inauguration of the bank was done by Late Mahatama Gandhi. There were only 4 branches of the bank among which 3 were in Mumbai and only 1 was in Saurashtra, in the year 1947. Representative offices were opened by the bank in Abu Dhabi, Shangahi etc in the year 2007. Another representative office was opened in the year 2009 in Sydney.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the following vacant posts of Credit Officer in Union Bank of India. Candidates are required to check the eligibility conditions set for the specified position from the official website of the bank. The posts also includes the backlog vacancies for SC/ST/OBC and for Person with Disabilities.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit i.e. 21 years but not more than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 40 years as on 12 September 2011. Relaxation may be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC and Person with DIsabilities). The relaxation will be provided to reserved categories candiates as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Degree from a recognized university with atleast 60% marks in aggregate is the minimum educational qualification required for the post of Credit Officer in MMGS-II. Reserved categories candiates should posess atleast 55% marks in aggregate only. Candidates should also have done course in Computer Awareness & Office Automation from a reputed institute. Candidates with C.A. or I.C.W.A or CS or MBA degree will get preference over others.

Application Fee:

Payment of the prescribed amount of application fee must be done through Application Fee Challan. The Application Fee Challan can be easily downloaded from the website of the bank. The Submission of the application fee is must for applying for the specified post. Payment of application fee by any other mode will not be accepted.

Amount of application fee for General and OBC candidates: Rs. 300 only.
Amount of application fee for other categories candidates: Rs. 50 only.

Selection Process:

A Written examination will be conducted followed by a Personal Interview Test/Group Discussion for making selection of eligible candidates on the post of Credit Officer.

How to apply: Online applications by eligible candidates must be made at Union Bank of India website. Candidates should apply online from 12 September 2011 to 1 October 2011. Candidates should also retain a printout of the completed application form or resgitration slip and keept it to themselves for future reference.
