National Botanical Research Institute shortly called as NBRI is one among the constituent research labs of CSIR. The institute was actually established by the Uttar Pradesh and it was taken over by the CSIR in the year 1953.

Pay Scale: The following pay scales are fixed for each of the positions:

• Principal Scientist – Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay Rs. 8700/-(T.E. = approx Rs. 86, 443/- p.m.)

• Senior Scientist - Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-(T.E. = approx Rs. 45,904 /- p.m.)

• Scientist – Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-(T.E. = approx Rs. 44,134/- p.m.)

• Senior Technical Officer – Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-(T.E. = approx Rs. 40, 742 /- p.m.)
