School of Management Sciences Varanasi (SMS-Varanasi) conducts an admission process for admission to its two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes. SMS-Varanasi was established in 1995 and is considered to be amongst the most reputed institutes for management education in northern India. All its programmes are approved by AICTE. SMS Varanasi provides very good infratructure and placement opportunities to its students.

Candidates are shortlisted for PGDM programmes of School of Management Sciences Varanasi on the basis of their CAT/MAT/XAT scores. Therefore for admission in PGDM programmes of School of Management Sciences Varanasi candidates have to compulsorily appear for one of CAT/MAT/XAT. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in these exams have to appear in a further selection process consisting of a Personal Interview and a Group Discussion after which the final selections are made.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates’ should have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from any of the recognized institute. Candidates who are in their final year of graduation can also apply for the above mentioned courses.  However these candidates are advised to provide the Certificate of Merit to the concerned authority within a stipulated time. Failure to do so may result on cancellation of the seats. Furthermore, candidates belonging to the reservation categories as well as from the defense background are offered relaxation in the eligibility percentage criterion.

Candidates can also obtain the form by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft to SMS-Varanasi. The forms can also be downloaded through the website www.smsvaranasi.com.

Selection process:

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their CAT/MAT/XAT scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of Personal Interview and Group Discussion.  Final selection is based on candidate’s performance in CAT/MAT/XAT, Personal Interview, Group Discussion and Graduation Marks.
