Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) was established under the Government of India. The main idea behind the establishment of the institute was to help in creating the unique institutional environment for the conduct of truly multidisciplinary research for improving public health by translating scientific and technological advancements into the medical innovations. The institute is planning to become a national undertaking by collaborating with the hospitals etc.

Job Profile:

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute is inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the vacant positions of Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow. Selected candidates will be recruited for various projects under Translational Health Science and Technology Institute. Appointment of best suitable candidates will be made purely on contract basis for a period of one year. However, extension in the contract period is possble on the basis of satisfactory performance review.

Eligibility:

The prescribed age criteria is strictly need to be followed by the interested candidates for being eligible for applying for the specified posts. In case, candidates with age more than the prescribed age limit, desires to apply for the specified post, then they should belong to the reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Class etc. The relaxation in upper age limit will be provided on the basis of the rules of Government of India only.

Educational Qualification:

Interested candidates must possess the prescribed minimum educational qualification i.e. Post Graduation degree in Life Science from a recognized institute or university. Besides this candidates should also fulfill the following additional requirements as well:

Senior Research Fellow: Candidates must also possess minimum two years experience in research field.

Juniuor Research fellow: For this post, only Post Graduation degree is enough. Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacology or Chemistry are also eligible to apply for the post.

Senior Research Fellow: Only 3 vposts are available.
Junior Research Fellow: Only 6 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Senior Research Fellow: Consolidated salary of Rs. 18000 per month alongwith HRA in the first and second year of contract.
Junior Research Fellow: Consolidated salary of Rs. 16000 per month alongwith HRA in the first and second year of contract.

Selection Process:

A Personal Interview Test will be conducted on 27th April 2012. Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed or called to appear for the interview test. The shortlisted candidate’s names will be published on THSTI website on 13th April 2012.
