St. Bede’s College, Shimla came into existence in the year 1904 and this college acts as the educational and historical landmark of the Northern region of the country. The main aim of the college is to offer higher education and training to women and the college offers higher education in the fields like teacher training, commerce, science and arts.

The college celebrated its centenary year during 2004 and to mark this occasion a postal stamp worth Rs.5 was released in the name of the college. The college holds the pride of being the only college with A grade accreditation from the NAAC in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

About TTC course offered by the college:

The Teacher Training Course offered St. Bede’s College is approved the NCTE, Government of Himachal Pradesh and Government of Maharashtra. For seeking admission to this course, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination with not less than 50% of marks and admission is done based on their performance in the written test. In addition, candidates must be between the age group of 17 and 25 years of age to apply for this course. Preference will be given to English medium candidates with Hindi, Geography, History, Science and Mathematics subjects.
