Swami Vivekanand B. Ed College came into existence in the academic year 2004-05 for the purpose of promotion of quality education in the states of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. The college offers teacher education course with affiliation from the Dr. Harisingh Gour University located in Sagar. The college has also earned approval from the National Council of Teacher Education.
Course Details:
Swami Vivekanand B. Ed College as the name denotes offer Bachelor of Education course, which is meant for preparing teachers for senior secondary and secondary level of education. In addition to the B. Ed Course, Swami Vivekanand B. Ed College also offers D. Ed course with recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education, which is meant for preparation of teachers to the 1st to VIII level of education. Apart from these two courses, the college is also planning to introduce Master of Education course as well.
Placement cell:
Swami Vivekanand B. Ed College has a placement cell that comprises of elected representatives from students and faculty members. The placement cell prepares a database about preference of Army Public School and Shainik Public School for each and every student and decision for placement of 30 students only from this college will be finalized and selected candidates will be handed over with the selection letter through the Managing Director of the college.
Infrastructural facilities:
Initially, Swami Vivekanand B. Ed College began its journey in a modest tin-roofed building and now the college possess an efficient infrastructure that includes spacious and well lit science laboratories, classrooms, a spacious ground, an auditorium, recreation room, computer room, library and language lab. Recently, a hostel for women has been added to the campus of the college and the hostel is provided with 24-hour water facility and security. The college also has a well-stocked library with a rich collection of journals and books.
