Madurai Kamraj University is located in southern India and was started to distribute education since 1966. The university is one of the famous universities of India and has 18 schools that have 72 departments. The university has a total strength of 1.30 lakhs students. The foundation stone of this university was laid by Dr. Zakir Hussain and it was named after the historical city Madurai. The university has 7 evening colleges and 109 affiliated colleges, including 9 autonomous colleges.

Campus:

The university campus is spread over an area of 750 acres in a beautiful township of Madurai. The university is located on Theni road which is 13 kms to the west of the Madurai city. The university provides a state of art library and laboratories to its students. The university also gives residential facility internet facility and computer labs to its students.

Courses Offered:

The university offers courses like: B.A, B.Com, B. Sc, BBA, BCA, B. Ed and many more postgraduate and Doctorate level courses to the candidates.

Admission Procedure:

The university offers various career based undergraduate, postgraduate courses and doctorate level programs to the candidates. Applicants have to collect an application form and prospectus from the main campus office. They also have to face a state level entrance exam in order to distribute the course to the individuals.
