Jharkhand Space Application Center was established in the year 2003 under the Government of India. The center comes under the Department of Information Technology. The center was established as a premier remote sensing center in order to perform space application activities. The center has contributed a lot for the overall development of the state. The center is also emerging as a poineer organization while providing value added services in various sectors like Agriculture, Forestry etc.
