Blooms College of Education got permission from the National Council for Teacher Education to begin offering Bachelor of Education course with an intake capacity of 100 students from the academic year 2003-04 and the college is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University located at Shimla. The main aim of the college is to mould the behavior of each and every student in a positive direction by offering them quality education and to make them understand the importance of respecting each other. The college stresses at creating future teachers and to make the nation educationally strong.

Courses Offered:

The college is offering one-year UG degree course in education and the course is divided into eight parts wherein subjects like social studies, life sciences, English, Hindi, mathematics and physical science are taught.

Admission:

The college is following Common Entrance Test conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University as a criteria for admitting students. Only the students whose names are included in the selection list based on their performance in CET will be allowed for admission into the college. Of the total number of 100 seats offered by the college, 5% of the seats are reserved for students specialized in cultural activities, 5% for students with sports background, 3% for physically handicapped students, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe students and 15% for Scheduled Caste Students.

Special Feature of the College:

The college believes on the fact that a well-equipped and well-managed library acts as a foundation for modern education and with this belief, the college has provided the library with a facility to accommodate 60 students at a time and has loaded the library with several reference books and periodicals. The other facilities include educational technological laboratory, biology lab, language lab, social studies lab and hostel for the students.
