Life Insurance in its modern form came in India from England in 1818. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) was established on 1st September, 1956 under the Life Insurance Corporation Act – 1956. The main objective of LIC is to widely spread life insurance, particularly to the rural areas, and to provide people with adequate financial cover at a reasonable cost. Initially, during its formation the corporation was formed with 212 branches, 33 divisional offices and five zonal offices in addition to its corporate office. But now, 992 satellite offices, eight zonal offices, 109 divisional offices and 2048 fully-computerized branch offices all over the country.
Job Profile:
For the pots of Assistant Administrative Officer in different categories, on-line applications are invited by Life Insurance Corporation from suitable citizens of India.
No. of posts – Total number of posts is 375, which is divided as Generalists - 250; Chartered Accountant - 100; Legal - 20 and Company Secretary - 5
P ay Scale – Rs. 17240-840(14)-29000-910(4)32640 and other admissible allowances as per rules.
Eligibility:
Age Criteria: Minimum age limit is 21 yrs and Maximum age limit is 30 yrs (Relaxable as per rules).

Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected for the post based on objective type & descriptive type written examination and personal interview.

Application Fees:
An application fee of Rs. 400 has to be paid by candidates at any cash collection centers of either Zonal office or divisional office or branch office of LIC or training center of Life Insurance Corporation. Payment in any other form like cheques/drafts will not be accepted.
