Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture and Environmental Studies shortly called as KRVIA, was established in the year 1992 with the help of grant received from Kamla Raheja Foundation. The institution is approved by the Council of Architecture and it is affiliated to Mumbai University.

Academic Programmes:

B. Arch:

The duration of B. Arch course offered by Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute of Architecture and Environmental Studies is five years and the course is divided into two parts. First part gets completed with the university examination in the end of third year and the second part ends with a term of practical training and design dissertation.

M. Arch:

M. Arch course is offered by the institution in two different specializations namely urban conservation and urban design. These two courses are divided into optional and mandatory courses with a view to offer for the diverse interests of the students.

Eligibility for admission:

For getting admission to the bachelor of architecture course offered by KRVIA, candidates must have completed their higher secondary or equivalent examination with mathematics as a subject and must have obtained not less than 50% of aggregate marks (45% for students belonging to backward class only from Maharashtra state). For M. Arch admission, candidates must have completed their B. Arch from an institution approved by Council of Architecture with 50% of marks (45% in case of backward category students) they can also be diploma holders in architecture from an institution approved by Maharashtra State Technical Education Board and COA. Candidates who have completed their IIA examination can also apply for M. Arch course.

Admission Procedure:

For the UG course, admission is made on the basis of marks secured by the students in Common Entrance Examination conducted at national level called as National Aptitude Test in Architecture. For PG courses, admission is controlled by Maharashtra Association of Schools of Architecture.
