Govindbhai Jorabhai Patel Ayurved College & Research Centre was established in the year 2006-07 with the help of donation from the Shri Jayanthibhai Govindbhai Patel. It is because of the donation received from the family, the college was named after their family name. The college is offering Ayurvedic education under the guidance of Gujarat Ayurved University.
Details about the Course:
Govindbhai Jorabhai Patel Ayurved College & Research Centre is offering Bachelor’s degree course in ayurveda called as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery. The course is recognized by the Central Council for Indian System of Medicine located at New Delhi and its duration is five-and-half years. The course is divided into three professions each of 18 months duration. On completion of the three professions, students will have to take up rotary internship extending for a period of one-year.
Course fee:
For the academic year 2009-10, the fee collected by the college was Rs. 2, 05,000 per annum and every year fee to be collected is decided on the basis of recommendation from R.J. Shah Committee.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates seeking for admission to the BAMS course offered by Govindbhai Jorabhai Patel Ayurved College & Research Centre, students must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream, from the state board of Gujarat in the first attempt.

The vision of Govindbhai Jorabhai Patel Ayurved College is to revitalize the culture of India as a whole and the field of ayurveda in particular. The mission of the college is to conduct meaningful research with the help of ancient tradition, modern technology and to throw light on hidden treasures of the field of ayurveda.
