Union Christian College was established in the year 1952 by the North East India Christian Council and the college is affiliated to North Eastern Hill University. The college was established with the objective of offering secular education. Even though, the college was established in the year 1952, the official opening of the college began from the year 1953.

Eligibility Criteria:

For getting admission to the honors courses in arts and science stream, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination with not less than 45% of marks in the respective subject and 45% in aggregate. In the case of arts honors, if a student has not studied the particular subject in which he/she is seeking admission, he/she should have secured not less than 50% of marks in aggregate. For honors in English, candidates must have secured 50% of marks in aggregate in the higher secondary examination in any stream of education. For pass subjects, candidates must have completed their higher secondary in appropriate discipline.
