The foundation stone for All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was laid in the year 1952. The AIIMS was established in 1956 through an Act of Parliament. This autonomous institution aims for nurturing excellence in all aspects of health care. The main objective of the institute is to develop excellent teaching patterns in all branches of Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education. The AIIMS offers teaching programs in medical and para-medical courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. . The AIIMS also offers B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing post-certificate degree. The AIIMS also provides preventive, promotive and curative primary, secondary & tertiary health care services.

Pay Scale – Rs. 18750 + GP of Rs. 6600 [For Senior Residents/ Demonstrators (Medical)]; and Rs. 16740 + GP of Rs.5400 [For Senior Residents/ Demonstrators (Non-Medical)]
Eligibility:
Age criteria – The upper age limit is 33 yrs (Relaxable as per rules)
Qualification – Senior Residents/ Demonstrators (Medical): The candidates must have Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in respective discipline from recognized University/Institute. For Senior Residents/ Demonstrators (Non-Medical): The candidates must have PhD degree in respective discipline from recognized University/Institute.
Selection Process:
The candidates are selected for the post through written examination and interview.
