CEED or Common Entrance Exam for Design is held every year in the different cities of the nation, and is conducted by IIT, Bombay. The Institute is highly reputed one and needs no introduction.

Division of the paper:

There are six division of the paper namely Visual Perception and Design Sensitivity, Drawing Abilities and Skills, Creativity I, Problem Identification and Analysis, Creativity II, Design Problem Solving- Problem Area: Product Design / Interaction Design, Problem Area: Communication Design and Problem Area: Animation Design.

Paper Pattern:

The first part of the paper contains one main question, divided into seven sub-questions. The second part of the paper contains one question having four different sub-questions. The third part also has one question. The fourth part contains two main questions, out of which candidates have to answer any one. The fifth part contains one main question divided into three sub-parts. The first sub-part has three sub-questions; the second sub-part has four sub-questions and the third sub-part has two sub-questions. Candidates have to attempt any one sub-part of this main question.

Markings:

The maximum marks of the paper are one hundred. The first section has 15 marks, the second has 20 marks, the third has 10 marks, the fourth has 20 marks, the fifth has 10 and the last section has 25 marks.

Time allotted for examination:

Candidates are allotted a total of 3 hours to complete the paper.
