The Sports Authority of India (SAI) came into existence as a Society registered of Societies Act, 1860. SAI also maintains and uses Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Stadium (Indoor) and Yamuna Velodrone, Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Dr. Shyam Prasad Mookherjee Swimming Pool Complex  and Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges on the behalf of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.

The Society for National Institutes of Physical Education & Sports (SNIPES) including NSNIS Patiala and the two LNCPEs located at Gwalior and Thiruvananthapuram were united with SAI in 1987 in order to promote and develop sports consciousness.

Some of the objectives of SAI are to provide training & international exposure to talented people, and to support training with scientific & sports  equipment and scientific  personnel.

Job Profile:

Sports Authority of India (SAI) invites application from qualified Indian citizens for the post of Jr. Accountant.

No. of posts: 45

Pay Scale – Rs. 5200 - 20200 + GP of Rs. 2400

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 yrs and the maximum age limit is 27 yrs (Relaxable as per rules).

Educational qualification – The candidates must have done Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized University. They must have knowledge of computer application (Spread-sheet and Accounting software).

Selection Process:

The mode of selection is through written test and skill test on MS Excel and Tally Software on Computer.

Interested eligible candidates can download the application form of prescribed format from SAI’s website http://www.sportsauthorityofindia.nic.in/. Completely filled application form must be sent along with required enclosures to the following address through ordinary post:

Application fee:

Demand draft of Rs. 500 must be drawn in favor of Secretary, Sports Authority of India, payable at New Delhi. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ Physically challenged and women candidates.
