eligibility criteria

-- to get through the cat examination first step is to appear for CPT after
appearing your senior secondary exam .

-and after completion of 60 days from the date of registration for CPT he/she
can register for the IIPC (integrated competence course)

- person who have register on or before 1st April and 1st October will be
eligible to appear for exam in June and December.

-- ..keep an eye on the notification which comes ..then you can write the examination for the CA..

Since you are a 12th pass you are now eligible for the CA course. But the qualification secured must be from a recognised institute. You will need to send across an application to the ICAI. You will be eligible for the CPT course. You can visit the ICAI site to know the details and apply online.

CA is the best and a typical course, so i suggest you to do it with your graduate degree...if suppose you choose b.com then on the process you do your CA course it will be more effective and understood and help you to improve your performance in the both the field.

To Become Chartered Accountant you need To First Make your Self Eligible for it.i.e 10+2 Pass a Commerce Back Ground or Mathematics in 10+2 Level.

Dear Preety Khandelwal,

1. For CA first step is registration after 10th class. Registration fee is at present Rs. 6000/-.

2. After sucessful completion of your 12th exam you can give Common Preficiency Test (CPT).

3. Thereafter you can apply for Professional Competence Examination (PEC) and get admission into CA.

the essentials to become a CA are hard work and good interest in the course...

to become a CA follow the following steps:

1. Enroll for the CPT examination with a institute, the CHARTED ACCOUNTANTS of INDIA.

2. appear for the CPT after 10+2 and clear it.. with this u can go to the next level.

3. enroll for the group 1 and group 2 of IPCC and complete the 9 months course...also under go the ITT and appear for the IPCE ( integrated proffesional competance examination)... and clear it..

4.after this enroll for the articled training internship for 3 years duration and complete the training to become a CA...

If you want to become an Chartered Accountant you have to first register for Common Proficiency Test while you are in 12th.

You can register for CPT even today.And you have to appear for CPT after completing 12th
once you complete your CPT you can join the course anywhere in India.The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has branches everywhere in the country, the best of which is ICAI chennai branch.

Chartered Accountancy course is just a 2-year program.The last exam will bw the final CET.After which you will become the member of ICAI and a certified chartered Accountant.

Both CA (Charted Account) and CS (Company Secretory) are very good option for building up the carrier. You don't have mentioned your educational qualification, if mention then it will be beneficial for me. Ok fine, if you are from commerce background then I will tell you to go for CA otherwise CS.

See one thing the subject where you want to study is fully depend upon you. You have to choose for your own future and I tell you because I don't know in which subject you have the interest. Both will be beneficial for you and both are very good option.

CA can be expanded as Chartered Accountant. It can be defined as course on finishing which you will get a bright future. For joining in this course the only eligibility required is that you must have passed your 12th std and the entrance exam for joining.

The entrance exam is named as CPT which can be expanded as Common Proficiency Test. For registering in this examination you must register in ICAI website.

After this you will have to join in CA course. There are three exams to clear for finishing CA course. They are

1. Foundation

2. Intermediate

3. Final

There are 4 subjects and they are:

• Accounting,
• Mercantile Laws,
• General Economics
• Quantitative Aptitude

This exam is a Objective type test and this exam is conducted 4 times in a year namely in the months of February, May, August and November.

Yeah you are eligible to apply for the CA CPT Exam right after doing your +2


The candidate need to have completed +2 from a recognized school board.

You must register for CPT Course with Board of Studies of ICAI

The candidate need to get at least 50% in all the 4 subjects.There are negative marking for every wrong answer as 1/4 th of the mark will be deducted.

If u Qualify in 10+2 first you register for CPT .. it is the entrance examination for CA course. CPT Exam two attempts in one year

Total Marks in CPT is : 200
Quantifying marks is : 100

If u qualify in CPT then registered for
foundation course

In this stage 7 Subjects with 2 Groups

first you complete the two 2 groups means 7 Subject
then you go for article ship

After article ship you go for CA Final Stage

To apply for the CA just after completing 10+2, you have to spend minimum five years for it, but it is sure that you can completed your graduation as well as study CA also.If you had commerce subject in 12th so it is best for pursuing CA and you must have passed 12th with at least 60% marks to get admitted into CA course n for graduation it will be 55 %.

you can get registered in foreign branch of ca institute which is in kathmandu,

icai is now in kathhmandu and abu dhabi for foreign stuident, so as you are in class 12th get registerd with icai branch in nepal,

and then you will be able to write your cpt exam in june or december as per your convenienvce,

and prepare for your cpt exam , you must be knowing that you will have to score 30% marks in each individual paper and overall 50% ,
