The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University is one of the oldest Universities in the nation, and the first to offer the course of Nursing at B.Sc level. The University serves with a motto of “Health for all”, and thus nursing course is of considerable importance.  In nursing course students are taught various subjects related to the various pre-requisites which are necessary for a nurse.  In the 1st year of Nursing Students are taught Microbiology along with other subjects.

Pattern of the paper:

Both of the section carries a total of three different main questions. The first main question of both of the section is compulsory and is essay or long answer types. It does not contain any kind of sub-parts, where as the remaining four main questions carries a total of 2 or 3 or 4 or even 5 sub-parts. All of the offered six main questions and each of their sub-questions have to be answered by the candidates.

Markings

The total mark of the paper is seventy-five. The first main question of each of the section carries a total of fifteen marks. The marks allotted to the sub-parts are 5 or 2 or 3, as based on the nature as length of the questions asked.

Time allotted for the examination:

The total time allotted for the exam is three hours.
