The TamilNadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai was the first separate Medical University to be established in Tamil Nadu. In spite of the large number of courses it offers B.Sc. in Nursing remains one of its premier courses. About the Subject

Psychology is a subject in which they get to know about the human behavior and its connection with human mind. This subject is taught to the students of Nursing in order to make them understand the functions of brain which guides the social behavior of an individual.

How the Divisions are made in the Paper?

Psychology is an important subject for anyone pursuing this course from any college under this University. It is a 75 marks exam where the exam is divided into two sections- a 60 mark theory section and a 15 mark objective one.  Answering of all the questions is compulsory for the students.

How the paper looks like and marking scheme

We can say that the theory section is divided into two 30 mark parts. The first part consists of two questions of fifteen marks each whereas the second part has 6 questions of five marks each. A student has to understand the question well and answer it according to the marks the question carries. This is a University which does not offer any choices in terms of answering of questions thus ensuring that the student does not do any kind of selective studies and does complete study of the subjects.
