Aurora’s Scientific Technological & Research Academy came into existence in the year 1989. The academy is also known as ASTRA. It is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU).

The institute is sponsored by the Aurora Educational Society and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The institute offers high standard technical education in Andhra Pradesh.

The undergraduate courses available in the institute are B.E (Biotechnology), B.E (Computer Science & Engineering), B.E (Electronics & Communication Engineering), and B.E (Information Technology).

The Post Graduate courses available in the institute are M. Tech, MBA, MCA, M.E (Computer Science & Engineering), M.E (Electronics and Communication Engineering), and M.E (Very Large Scale Integration).

Eligibility criteria for getting admission:

UG Courses:

Candidates who have passed in the intermediate Examination (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects are eligible to apply for the B.E course. They must get qualified in the EAMCET Exam to get admission for the B.E course.

PG Courses:

Master of Engineering:

Candidates, who have passed BE/ B. Tech in relevant discipline, are eligible to apply for M. Tech and M.E courses. They must get qualified in the GATE exam to get admission for the M.E course.

MCA:

The candidates who have passed a graduation with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects at the 10+2 examination, are eligible to apply for the MCA course. They must get qualified in the ICET exam for getting admission for the MCA course.

MBA:

The candidates who have passed graduation in any stream are eligible to apply for MBA course. They must get qualified in the ICET exam for getting admission for the MBA course.
