Animal & Fisheries Department of Government of Bihar has three directorates under its jurisdiction namely animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy. Out of these departments, the animal husbandry department began its operations in the year 1911, dairy department is functioning from 1981 and fisheries department is functioning from the year 1923.

Recruitment by Animal & Fisheries Resource Department, Bihar Government:

Government of Bihar has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Block Animal Husbandry Officers to work for its Animal & Fisheries Resource Department and the details of the notification issued by the government of Bihar are given below:

Name of the position: Block Animal Husbandry Officers

Number of Vacancies: Total number of Vacancies is 121, which is divided as follows:

• OBC – 71

• BC – 05 (female)

• SC – 45

Pay Scale: Candidates selected for the position of Block Animal Husbandry Officers will get a salary of Rs.22500 per month.

Eligibility Requirement:

Educational Qualification: For apply to the position of Block Animal Husbandry Officers, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry with internship training for a period of six months. In addition, candidates should also have registered with the Bihar Veterinary Council located in Patna.

Age requirement: To apply for the position of Block Animal Husbandry Officers, candidates must not be more than 40 years of age as on the 1st of June 2011. This maximum age requirement is the same 40 years for BC female candidates and 42 years for SC candidates.
