Central Bureau of Investigation was founded on April 1, 1963 under the Government of India. The headquarter of the bureau is situated at New Delhi, India. Mr. Ashwani Kumar is the Director of the bureau. Department of Personnel and Training is the parent agency of Central Bureau of Investigation. The bureau is considered as the premier investigating agency of the country. The bureau is responsible for solving the criminal and national security issues. The bureau is controlled by the Ministry of Personnel.
Job Profile:
Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for engagement on the position of Stenographer in Central Bureau of Investigation. Candidates will be appointed on contractual basis in Central Bureau of Investigation initially for a period of one year. The period of deputation can be extended upto 3 years at a consolidated remuneration.
Eligibility:
Candidates should have age in between the prescribed age limit set for the post of Stenographer in Central Bureau of Investigation. Candidates should have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit and also less than the prescribed maximum age limit.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should be 12th class passed from a recognized board. Candidates must have a shorthand speed of 80 words per minutes and type writing speed of 40 words per minute. This prescribed educational qualification is need to be attained by the candidates for applying for the post of Stenographer in Central Bureau of Investigation.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the consolidated amount of salary i.e. Rs. 15000 per month.

Candidates are not required to submit any kind of application fee for applying for the specified position in Central Bureau of Investigation.
Selection Process:
Shortlisted candidates will have to appear in the personal interview test. Only successfull candidates of this personal interview test will be considered at the time of making final selections.
