Name of the Position: Scientific Officer/Engineer - SB

Number of Vacancies: Total number of Vacancies is 62, which is divided as follows:

SC – 06

ST – 09

OBC – 16

UR – 31

Duration of the position: The duration of the position will be initially for two years and after completion of two years, candidates may or may not be posted in NIC

Remuneration: Candidates appointed for the position of Scientific Officer/Engineer-SB (Programmer) will get a pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 + GP of Rs.4600. Total Emoluments would be Rs.33,439 per month approximately.

Job Description:

Candidates appointed for the position of Scientific Officer/Engineer – SB will be responsible for designing, development, implementation and maintenance of systems and software programs for different organizations/departments. They will also be responsible for offering technical support to different areas pertaining to data security, networking, storage system management, administration, system administration database, etc…

Eligibility Details:

Educational qualification & Experience:

For applying to the position of Scientific Officer/Engineer SB, candidates must have completed their MCA/B. Tech/B.E with not less than 60% of aggregate marks or first class and specialization in computer/computer science related areas. Even candidates who have completed their M. Sc Computer Science with first-class can apply. Or Master’s degree in operation research/statistics/mathematics/physics with either three years experience in the areas mentioned in job description or PG diploma in computer science from a recognized institution with not less than 60% of marks.

Age requirement: Candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 30 years of age.
