Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Punjab, has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Medical Officer (MBBS) for filling up vacancies in different health offices/institutions.

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Medical Officer (MBBS) will receive a pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 + GP of Rs.5400.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational qualification: To apply for the position of Medical Officer (MBBS), candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from an institution approved by the MCI. Candidates must also have registered themselves with the Punjab Medical Council or any other state Medical Council duly constituted by the Medical Council of India.

Age: To apply for the position of Medical Officer (MBBS), candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 37 years of age as on the 1st of January 2011. For details regarding age relaxation, visit http://www.pbhealth.gov.in/website.pdf

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates for the position of Medical Officer (MBBS) will be based on their performance in the written test. Out of the 100 marks, 95 marks will be allotted for the performance of candidates in written test and 5 marks will be for rural background of the candidates.

How to apply:

Candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements will have to apply online through the website of CDAC at http://recruitment.cdacmohali.in before the 19th of August 2011 (5.00 pm) and this page can be reached by clicking on the link called recruitment of various DHS posts. Once the online registration is successfully completed candidates will be allotted a registration number that is printed on acknowledgement slip. This slip will have the detail regarding the fee to be deposited towards application. The fee mentioned there in should be deposited to the current account number 3529002100253664 at any branch of Punjab National Bank in Chandigarh or Punjab. Printout of the successful registered application form should be taken to the designated bank along with the application form for depositing the fee.
