Nalanda Open University is the only open university of Bihar, it was established in 1987 with a vision of providing education to everyone who are deprived of higher education and now it is one of the highly reputed Open Universities in India.

Paper Pattern:

The questions do not have any sub-questions in it and all questions are of long answer type.  Total questions in the paper are 10 and 5 from it is needed to be attempted according to the choice of a candidate.  Each question carries equal marks. The pattern of the paper is very old and it reflects the tradition of this University.

Questions in the paper are of subjective type and questions asked are of theoretical as well as numerical type. All questions asked are of simple pattern and questions asked are in straight way. Questions asked are such as main old welfare economics, non-attainment of Pareto-optimality, principle of new welfare, difference between primary and secondary data, importance of Arithmetic mean and logarithmic mean in economics, statistical means and their types etc.

Total marks and time allotted:

Maximum marks which can be awarded in this paper are 70 and time allotted is 3 hours only. Each question in the paper is of 14 marks each. There are no sub-questions in any question, so they have to answer the questions properly.
