Mechanical Engineering is one of the mother streams of engineering and this is reason why this branch of engineering is in so much demand. The paper of Computer graphics is very important as it deals with the designing and preparing a design.

Paper Description

Mechanical Engineering students have to design various models for different mechanical and electrical instruments. For this they are taught engineering graphics in the 1st and 2nd Sem and Computer Graphics in the 5th Sem. Computer Graphics are taught as now a day’s designs are done on Computers and very less hand work is there.

Paper Pattern:

The paper of Computer graphics is a compulsory paper for the students in this course. The paper deals with the drawing as well as theory related to computer graphics. The paper contains 5 questions and 1st four questions are with their alternative and candidates have to choose 1 question from it, whereas last question is the compulsory question which has designing questions. All questions are of equal marks but the sub-questions of each question vary from question to question.

The paper of Computer graphics is an important subject for the course. The paper is to be solved within the given time. Questions asked are such as describe CRT and LCD monitor, pointing and positioning devices, geometric and co-ordinate transformation, concentration of transformation, homogeneous co-ordinates, short notes on piece wise surface representation, ruled surface, developable surfaces, electrostatic plotter, curve fitting and curve fairing etc.

Total marks and time allotted:

A student can score a maximum of 100 marks in the paper and time allotted for the paper is 3 hours only.
