The Satyam College of Education came into existence in the year 2007 and the college offers a viable platform for training, research and education. The college offers teacher education course with University of Jammu’s affiliation and it possesses one of the most technologically advanced facilities for offering teacher education course.

Course details:

Satyam College of Education is a teacher education college offering Bachelor of Education course and the course is conducted for 1000 marks in total out of which 700 marks is meant for seven theoretical papers and 300 marks is meant for practical teacher education subject. Out of the 300 marks meant for practice of teaching, 150 marks are reserved for internal assessment, which is divided as follows:

• 30 marks for 15 micro lessons

• 50 marks for 20 supervised macro-lessons

• 10 marks for 2 criticism lessons

• 10 marks for observation of 20 lessons

• 10 marks for preparation of teaching aids

• 30 marks for internship and

• 10 marks for co-curricular activities

Remaining 150 marks in the practical part of 300 marks is meant for final practice of teaching, where in two external examiners are appointed for conducting final practice of teaching examination and these examiners will observe two lessons for each student in the teaching subject opted by the students and all these will happen in actual classroom situation.

Admissions:

The selection process for admission of students to the Bachelor of Education course offered by the Satyam College of Education is done by the University of Jammu and the list of selected candidates is also declared by the university. Therefore, in the process of admission to the B. Ed course, the following steps are followed by the Satyam College of Education:

• Candidates, who are selected by the university will have to verify their documents from the authorities of the university

• Then, they should collect the allotment slips from the university

• After this, they will have to pay the prescribed fee to the Jammu & Kashmir Bank at the new university campus

• Then, they will have to report to the Satyam College of Education and finally should fill up the admission form of the college

• After filling up the application form, it should be submitted along with the required documents.

When submitting the application to the campus of the college, candidates will have to submit three passport size photos and the original documents along with unattested photocopy of the following documents along with the application:

• Affidavit

• Migration certificate if they belong to other universities

• Mark certificate and degree certificate of PG course

• Mark certificate and degree certificate of UG course

• Matriculation certificate for age proof
