THDC India Limited is a Mini Ratna company coming under schedule A and it is a public sector Unit established as a joint venture between Indian Government and Uttar Pradesh Government.  The company came into existence in the year 1998 with a view to develop, operate and maintain the Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other hydro projects with equity participation in the ratio of 3:1 by Indian Government and the Uttar Pradesh Government.

THDC India Limited has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Engineer Trainee for different departments like mechanical, electronics & communication and electrical and electronics. Here are the details regarding the notification issued by the company in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Engineer Trainee for Mechanical, Electronics & Communication and Electrical & Electronics disciplines

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 25, which is divided among the aforesaid departments as follows:

• Electrical & Electronics – 15 (General – 09, SC – 02, ST – 01 and OBC – 03)

• Electronics & Communication – 05 (General – 02, SC – 01 and OBC – 02)

• Mechanical – 05 (General – 04 and SC-01)

Period of Training – One year

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.20600-3%-46500 during the period of training. After successful completion of training, they will be absorbed as Engineer/Executive in E-2A grade in the pay scale of Rs.24900-3%-50500 (IDA).

Eligibility requirements:

Educational Qualification: The basic requirement for all branches it that candidates must be full-time degree holders in Engineering/technology from a recognized Indian university or institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. Only candidates with not less than 65% aggregate marks in all semesters combined together and 65% of marks at class X and XII board examinations will be considered.  The disciplines in which candidates must have completed their degree for each branch of engineering is given below:

• Electrical & Electronics - Electrical/Electrical and Electronics/ Electrical, Instrumentation & Control/Power System & High Voltage/Power Electronics/Power Engineering

• Electronics & Communication - Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering - Mechanical/Mechanical & Automation Engineering

Age: Not exceeding 30 years as on 1st of January 2012
