Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Science and Technology also called as SCTIMST was founded in the year 1974 by the Government of Kerala. The institute is working under the control of the department of Science and Technology of the Indian Government and it has earned the status of university to offer PG, doctoral and post doctoral courses in health care technology, basic sciences, nursing, public health and medical specialties.

Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology has called for online or offline applications from eligible candidates for various positions and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the institute in this regard:

Name of the Vacancies: Upper Division Clerk – A, Stenographer Grade III – A and Junior Technical Assistant (CSR) - A

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 14, which is divided among different positions mentioned above as follows:

• Upper Division Clerk – A - 10

• Stenographer Grade III – A - 02

• Junior Technical Assistant (CSR) – A - 02

Pay Scale: For the first two positions, candidates will be coming under the pay brand of Rs.5200-20200 plus Grade Pay of Rs.2400, while for Junior Technical Assistant (CSR), candidates will be coming under the pay brand of Rs.5200-20200 plus GP of Rs.1900.

Eligibility requirements:

Age: For all positions, the upper age requirement is 30 years as on the 30th of November 2011. Upper age relaxation applicable for SC/ST candidates is 5 years and three years for candidates belonging to OBC category (non-creamy layer).

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates will have to take up written test or trade test according to the call letter sent to them. The result of the test and the subsequent dates of interview will be published in the notice board of the institution and in the website of the institution in the same day in which candidates appear for the written test.

Application fee:

Fee to be paid by general/OBC category candidates is Rs.500 and by SC/ST category candidates is Rs.100. This fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor of the Director, SCTIMST payable at Thiruvananthapuram.

How to apply:

Candidates will have to apply online through the website of the institute at www.sctimst.ac.in from 21st November 2011 to 20th December 2011 or even application can also be made offline. In the case of online application, once online application is submitted successfully, candidates will get a system generated application along with application registration number and this sheet should be taken as printout. The printout should be signed by the candidates and should be attached with original DD for the application fee, they should clearly specify the post for which they apply and should send the same to the address given below before 31st December 2011.
