Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a programme for the universalization of elementary education and this programme is being followed in many parts of India. As far as Delhi is concerned, it is running under the Department of School Education & Literary of Ministry of Human Resource Development of Government of India.

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Delhi, which is working under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi under the Directorate of Education is planning to engage TGT on contract basis under SSA in schools of Directorate of Education. Here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Trained Graduate Teachers

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 3761, which is divided among differet subjects for which TGTs are required are given below:

1. English – 639

2. Mathematics – 692

3. Social Science – 402

4. Hindi – 497

5. Sanskrit – 708

6. Natural Science – 761

7. Urdu – 38

8. Punjabi - 24

Remuneration: Candidates selected for the position of TGT will be getting a consolidated salary of Rs.15000 per month and there will not be any extra allowance.

Eligibility requirements:

Educational Qualification: Candidates with B. Ed in appropriate subjects mentioned earlier are eligible to apply for the position of TGT. For TGT Social Science, candidates with graduation in any of the two following subjects are eligible to apply: psychology, geography, sociology, business studies, economics, political science or history with B. Ed.

Age: The upper age limit is 30 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation of five years and three years is applicable to SC/ST candidates and OBC Candidates respectively.

Mode of selection:

Candidates will be selected based their academic performance at different levels like B. Ed, Graduation, class X, XII or its equivalent.
