IETE AMIETE-ET(Old Scheme) Analog & Digital Electronics  course is an important part of the curriculum of electronics engineering and is taught in all well known engineering colleges. It has both a lab part as well theory part of 60 hours. The basics of analog and digital electronics make sure that each electronics engineer is thorough in his subject.

Importance of the paper

The basics of analog and digital electronics must be known by each and every student taking the subject as it strengthens the foundation of the stream. In the field of electronics and telecommunication engineering its vital to be a pro at analog and digital electronics.

Format

The format of the paper is such that it covers all the aspects of the subject. There are 9 questions overall and the first one is compulsory which has to be answered in half hour. Of the rest 8 only 5 needs to be done to earn 16 marks for each. Needless to say the full mark is 100.

Paper pattern

The paper covers all aspects of the subject such that there is one question from each part of the subject. This includes operational amplifiers, active filters, transistor, bipolar logic circuit and digital MOS circuit etc.

Marking

The paper is marked such that the first compulsory question carries 20 marks and the 5 optional ones carry 16 marks. The total marks are 100. The weightage depends on the importance of each chapter and module as well as the hours devoted for it in the syllabi.

Time

The paper has to be completed by 3 hours.
