Government of Andhra Pradesh’s Directorate of Medical Education has called candidates, who are interested to join for teaching faculty positions in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences at Kadapa and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Name of the Vacancies: Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and Tutors

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies in RIMS, Kadapa is 77, which is divided among the aforesaid positions as follows:

• Professors - 09

• Associate Professors - 23

• Assistant Professors - 36

• Tutors - 09

Period of Contract – Period of contract for the positions of professor and tutor is three years, for associate professor it is four years and for assistant professor it is five years. Contract will be renewed on satisfactory performance subject to a maximum age limit of 65 years.

Remuneration: Consolidated emoluments for each of the position on per month basis are given below:

• Professors – Rs.100000/-

• Associate Professors – Rs.90000

• Assistant Professors – Rs.75000

• Tutors – Rs.40000

Eligibility requirements:

For all positions, eligibility requirements will be according to MCI norms of ‘minimum qualifications of teachers in medical institutions regulations 1998’.

Professor: Applicants must be doctors with PG in appropriate medical specialty recognized by MCI. They should have worked as associate professors for four years in a recognized medical college. Preference will be given to candidates with two research publications in indexed journals.

Associate professor: Candidates should have worked as assistant professors for five years in a recognized medical college in concerned specialty. Preference will be given to candidates with two research publications in indexed journals.

Assistant Professor: Candidates should possess required PG qualification in appropriate subject.

Tutor: Recognized MBBS with PG degree or diploma in concerned specialty
