KLE University’s College of Pharmacy as the name implies is acting as constituent unit of the KLE University and the institution is recognized by the Karnataka Government, Pharmacy Council of India and the All India Council for Technical Education. The college has also earned accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation of the AICTE for a period of five years.

Admission Eligibility:

For admission to the Bachelor of Pharmacy course, candidates must have completed their 10+2 with physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects in addition to any of the subjects like biology/biotechnology/computer science/mathematics. In the qualifying examination, they must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks, which is 45% for reserved category candidates as an aggregate in all the subject mentioned earlier. Even, candidates, who have passed their D. Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India are eligible to apply directly to the third semester of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course offered by the KLE University’s College of Pharmacy located in Bangalore.

For admission to the Master of Pharmacy course, candidates who have completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy from the KLE University or from any other recognized Indian university or candidates with any other degree course in Pharmacy as recognized by the KLE University or PCI or AICTE for this purpose are eligible to apply. The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination are 50% and a pass in the qualifying examination is required for SC/ST/Category-I candidates of the state of Karnataka.

For admission to the Ph. D in Pharmacy course, candidates must have obtained Master of Pharmacy degree with not less than 50% from the KLE University or PG degree from any other university considered equivalent to KLE University.

Course Durations:

The duration of the Bachelor of Pharmacy course shall be four academic years for candidates admitted to the first year of the course and three academic years for the candidates admitted to directly to the second year of the course. The duration of Master of Pharmacy course shall be two years and the duration of Ph. D in Pharmacy course shall be minimum two/three years and the maximum period allowed for completion of the course is four/five years from the date of registration for full-time or part-time courses respectively.

Infrastructural facilities:

The institute is provided with all essential facilities like class-room, lab facilities with required equipment, library with pharmacy related books and hostel facilities for the students.
