IGNOU Diploma in Civil Engineering Advanced Survey Papers is taught in the institutes that provide a diploma in Civil engineering and other related streams. It teaches about the concepts and principles of surveying. One must be adept at advanced survey as its one of the most vital subjects of the stream.

Format

The format of the paper is like any other paper of a course related examination offered by IGNOU. The paper has 2 parts of which the first part is compulsory but one has to answer 4 questions from the second Part of 6 questions.

Paper pattern

The paper covers chapters like Theodolite Traversing, Tacheometric Surveying, Trigonometrical Levelling, Curves, Modern Surveying Equipment, Miscellaneous Topics in Survey Project Surveys, Special Surveys etc

Marking

Marks are according to the part attempted as the first part has 14 marks for all 7 questions and 14 marks for the choice questions of second part too (4 in all). 70 is the full mark by total.

Time

The paper has to be completed by 3 hours.
