Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers holds exams for the young and fresh candidates to start their career in the technical fields and it is getting a good response every year, by the students all over the country.

Qualification required for appearing in this exam:

One will have to pass 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination, from an authorized university or board, with mathematics, chemistry and physics as their main subjects in order to be eligible for the IETE AMIETE-ET Power Electronics exam. Candidates pursuing the diploma courses are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Scores and negative markings:

As all the questions that are asked from the Power Electronics Papers are of descriptive types, thus, there is no negative markings or marks deduction because of wrong answers, on any of the questions asked in the exam.

Mode of exam:

Students are provided a separate answer sheet. In order to write the answers they need to bring pen/pencil on their own as it is an offline mode exam.

Format of the Paper:

The Power Electronics Papers mainly holds long and descriptive type questions but also contain few objective type questions.

Paper pattern:

The paper pattern for Power Electronics Papers or all other papers that are asked for AMIETE-ET course are developed by the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers. It contains 9 questions in which the first question is mandatory for all the aspirants and from remaining eight questions one needs to answer at least five questions.

Markings:

The full score carried by the IETE AMIETE-ET Power Electronics Paper is 100.

Schedule:

As per the rules, all the entrance exams that are conducted by the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers are of three hours and within these three hours candidates have to finish their jobs.
