Appasaheb Birnale College of Pharmacy holds the pride of being the first pioneer institution in Shivaji University at Kolhapur and the college is running under aid basis. The college has made pioneering efforts in offering comprehensive training and education in pharmaceutical sciences particularly to the students of rural areas.

Appasaheb Birnale College of Pharmacy offers diploma course in pharmacy with affiliation from the Board of Technical Education and Degree and PG courses in pharmacy are offered by the university with affiliation from the Shivaji University at Kolhapur. Both diploma and degree courses offered by the institution are approved by the Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra Government and All India Council for Technical Education at New Delhi.

Year of introduction of courses:

Appasaheb Birnale College of Pharmacy introduced diploma course in pharmacy in the year 1985 and B. Pharm course was introduced in the year 1991. The Master of Pharmacy courses in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics were introduced in 2002, 2004 and 2005 respectively.
