Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited was founded on December 24, 2002 under the Government of India. The corporation was actually established as a rapid transit system in the city of Delhi. The corporation is famous for being the second underground rapid transit system after Kolkata in the country. Job Profile:

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is looking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates on the following vacant positions of Civil Engineer (Executive and Non Executive) i.e. Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer purely on contrcat basis for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Kochi Project. Only eligible Indian Citizens are invited to apply for the specified positions.

Eligibility:

All interested candidtes should have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit but not more than the prescribed maximum age limit.

For the post of Assistant Engineer: Candidates should have age less than 40 years as on 1 January 2012.
For the post of Junior Engineer: Candidates should have age less than 28 years as on 1 January 2012.

Relaxation may be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules and regulations of Government of India. Sc/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years while OBC candidates will get relaxation of minimum 3 years in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess the minimum educational qualification set for the posts of Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer.

Assistant Engineer: B.E. or B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Candidates must have secured minimum 60% marks in the qualifying degree.

Junior Engineer: Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute or university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

No. of posts: Total 40 posts are available.

Assistant Engineer: 10 posts are available.
(General-3, SC-2, ST-1 and OBC-4)

Junior Engineer: 30 posts are available.
(General-12, SC-3, ST-11 and OBC-4)

Pay Scale:

Assistant Engineer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 20600-46500 per month.
Junior Engineer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 13500-25520 per month.

Selection Process:

Candidates will have to face three different stages of the Selection Process. Only successfull candidates of all the three stages of Selection Process, will be considered at the time of making final decision on the selections. The three stages of the Selection Process are:

i. Written Examination/ Interview or both,
ii. Group Discussion, and
iii. Medical Examination.
