Sant Longowal Institute Of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 1991 under the Government of India. The institute actually came into existence as a deemed university. The university has a campus spreaded in an area of approximatley 451 acres. The admin staff of the institute is comprises of more than 800 personnel. The institute offers various undergraduates as well as post graduate courses to the students. The institute was provided the land for campus by the Punjab Government. The institute actually came into existence as a tribute to the Sant Harchand Singh Longowal, a Sikh leader.
