Ghubaya College of Engineering & Technology shortly called as GCET is a new entrant to the technical education field that was established in the year 2010 by the Ghubaya Educational Society for offering technical education within a modern educational environment. GCET offers the following courses with affiliation from the Punjab Technical University and with approval from the All India Council for Technical Education:

Course duration and intake capacity:

The Bachelor of Technology course offered by the Ghubaya College of Engineering & Technology extends to a period of four years and the approved intake capacity of the institution for the course is 60 students per year per branch thereby making a total intake capacity of 240 students per year.

Admission Eligibility:

First year B. Tech course: For seeking admission to the first year of the B. Tech course offered by the Ghubaya College of Engineering & Technology, candidates should fulfill any of the following conditions:

• Must have completed 10+2 with mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects along with any of the following subjects: biology/computer science/biotechnology/chemistry (OR)

• Candidates must have passed their 10th or 10+2 in science stream and must have passed diploma in any stream of engineering from the State Board of Technical Education of Punjab or from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology or such examination from any other board of technical education (OR)

• Even candidates with two-year certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal are also eligible to apply

Lateral Entry to second year of B. Tech course: Under the scheme of lateral entry, candidates with diploma in engineering/technology with at least 50% of aggregate marks (40% for reserved category) or equivalent grade point or candidates with Bachelor of Science degree are also eligible to apply directly to the second year of B. Tech course offered by GCET.
