National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) offers variety of full time and part time academic programmes to the aspirants. Apart from that, candidates can join executive programmes like Post Graduate Programme in Quantity Surveying and Contract Management for Working Executives (PGP QSCM), Post Graduate Programme in Construction Management for Working Executives (PGP CMWE) and Post graduate programme in Project management for working executives (PGP PMWE). Admission to full time programme will be based on entrance test, group discussion and personal interview where as direct admission will be given for part time programmes. Fee structure will vary according to course.

Admission procedure

Full Time programmes

Those who are interested to join full-time academic programs should send their applications to Head of Admissions in NICMAR. It should be sent along with the documents specified in the information brochure of application form. Selection Committee will scrutinize the applications and select candidates through four stages of selection process.

Candidates should first appear for the Written Test which comprises of Quantitative and Analytical Ability, Data Interpretation, English Language and General Knowledge. If the candidates possess a valid CAT, GATE or GMAT score, then they need not appear for this written test. Then can get into the next stage on the basis of any of these common entrance test scores. Group Discussion is the next stage in which the candidates need to express their opinion on a given topic. Personal Interview will be conducted after that in which the attitude of the candidates will be evaluated. Application submitted by the candidates will be rated during the interview.

Based on the Written Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Application Rating, a merit list will be prepared by the Selection Committee. Admission letters will be sent to the candidates according to their position in the merit list. After receiving the letters, the candidates should appear for counselling at the specified date.

Part Time programmes

For getting admission to part time academic programmes, candidates should first forward their application to the distance education department of NICMAR after the notification is published. Their applications will be scrutinized and admission will be given according to the availability of seats.  The academic scores will be considered for giving admission.
