Eligibility and Syllabus for RRB Nontechnical Class III Recruitment
Railway recruitment Board conducts recruitment for Nontechnical Class III services such as Assistant station masters, ticket collectors, clerks etc by means of competitive examination. Eligibility required for each of these profiles varies from post to post. Detailed notification can be obtained from the official website of RRB. Males and females can apply for the posts. Objective type multiple choice questions from General English or Hindi, General Knowledge and General Intelligence will be included in the written test.
Eligibility
Probationary Assistant Station Master : Graduates from a recognized university are eligible to apply to this post. Additional qualifications such as diploma in Rail Transport Management are preferable. Candidates between the age limit of 18 and 33 can apply for this post.
Crafts Teacher in Railway Schools: Candidates should qualify the following criteria.(1)Higher Secondary qualified candidates are eligible to apply. (2) Candidates should have qualified diploma certificate in training in wood and craft from ITI. (3) 2 year Professional experience in any Government Institution or any reputed firm.(3) Competency to teach in Bengali medium in Boys’ Schools. Age limit is between20 to 40 years.
Trained Graduate Teacher (Urdu & Persian) for Railway Schools: Graduation in Urdu & Persian literature from any recognized University with second class, university degree or diploma in education or teaching, or 4 years Integrated Degree Course of Regional Colleges of Education of NCERT. Competency to teach in Hindi medium is preferable. Age limit is 20 to 40 years.
Trained Graduate Teacher Gr. II in Arts subjects, in Bengali medium, for Railway Schools: Graduation with second class mark in Arts from any recognized University. Degree or Diploma in Education/Teaching, or 4 years integrated degree Course of Regional Colleges of Education/Teaching, or 4 years Integrated Degree Course of Regional colleges of Education of NCERT. Competency to teach in Bengali medium is preferable. Age limit is 20 to 40 years.
Trained Graduate Teacher (Sanskrit Language) for Railway schools: Graduation with second class mark in Sanskrit literature from any recognized University, University Degree/diploma in Education/Teaching or 4 years Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT. Competency to teach in Hindi medium is preferable. Age limit is 20 to 45 years.
Syllabus for RRB Nontechnical Class III Recruitment
The written test will comprise of objective type multiple choice questions. Candidates can expect questions from

- General knowledge &
- General Intelligence
Candidates are expected to have a broad knowledge of general topics, current events and matters related to Indian Railways.
