Eligibility for admission in NIT, Patna

For admission to B.Tech/B.Arch courses candidate must possess the following qualifications.

• A pass in HSC
• HSC must be passed having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects
• Age must be less than 23 years

Basic Eligibility for admission to M.Tech courses

• B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) in the concerned stream
• Minimum 60% marks in qualifying exam

Admission Process in NIT, Patna

Last year admissions to B.Tech/B.Arch courses in NIT, Patna were offered on the basis of AIEEE score. From next year onwards AIEEE may be replaced by ISEET.

GATE score acts as the basis of admission to M.Tech courses. General category candidates must possess minimum 85% marks in GATE to seek admission. Those belonging to OBC category need to score 76.5% marks where as 60% marks is enough for SC/ST candidates.

Admission to Ph.D programs are offered on the basis of written exam and interview conducted by the concerned department of NIT, Patna.
