BA (Hons), Hotel Management and BA (Hons), Culinary Arts are the under graduate courses offered at Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad (IHM-A). Duration of these courses is 4 years. Both the degrees are awarded by a foreign University, the University of Huddersfield, UK. Candidates who have passed HSC course can seek admission to the program on the basis of written test, group discussion and personal interview. Written exam is conducted on an all India basis in selected test centers.

Eligibility Criteria for Under Graduate Admissions in IHM, Aurangabad

Candidates who have completed 10 + 2 studies are eligible to seek admission. HSC course must be pursued in any stream with English as the medium of instruction. Students awaiting results are also eligible for writing the exam.

Admission Procedure for Under Graduate Courses in IHM, Aurangabad

Eligible candidates for admission are selected through written test, group discussion and interview. Time allotted for the written test is 90 minutes. Questions for the written test will be from the following areas.

• Abstract Reasoning
• General Knowledge
• Numerical Reasoning
• Reading Comprehension
• Verbal Reasoning

Total marks for this objective model test is 100. Minimum 45% marks is required to pass the written exam. Those who pass through the written test will be called for group discussion. Maximum marks given for group discussion is 50. Interview session is conducted for maximum of 100 marks.  In the session, the following qualities of the candidate are basically assessed.

In the admission process, 40% weightage is given for marks obtained in written exam, 20% weightage for group discussion marks and 40% weightage for marks obtained in personal interview session.

Application Process for written test

In order to attend the written test, candidate should register via the official web portal of IHM-A. Registered candidates are informed with exam venue for written test. Application fee for the test is Rs. 1000/- . It must be paid in the form of DD taken in the name of ‘Institute of Hotel Management’, payable at Aurangabad.

Application form can also be collected from the official website of IHM-A. Collected application form must be filled up correctly and submitted to the address of IHM-A, along with certain documents. Copy of XII class certificate, conduct certificate, birth certificate, medical certificate, recent size photograph, etc must be submitted along with the application form. Application forms should reach the admission office of IHM-A before last date.
