Selection Procedure for CA in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited

Candidates who are qualified Chartered Accountants from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India are eligible to apply in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. Selection procedure includes interview and medical test. Interview section mainly comprises of questions on subject knowledge. Successful candidates will be appointed to the post of ‘Chartered Accountant’ after completing medical examination.


Eligibility Criterion

Candidates who are qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India are only eligible to apply for this post. They are required to complete Articleship Training too at the time of application.

Upper age limit for application is 27 years. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe can claim relaxation up to five years in upper age limit. Other Backward Class candidates can get a relaxation up to 3 three years as per the norms issued by Government of India. Physically challenged candidates will get relaxation up to 10 years. Apart from this, candidates who have domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to get relaxation up to 5 years in upper age limit. Candidates who are seeking relaxation in upper age are required to submit relevant documents at the time of application. Aspirants should be medically fit as per the notification issued by the organization.

Selection Procedure, Training and Placement

Eligible candidates will be short listed for personal interview as per their aggregate marks of CA Final Exam of both the Groups. There will be questions from subject knowledge in interview. Questions will be asked to measure candidates’ behavioral competencies. Those who have cleared the personal interview will be called for pre-employment medical examination. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained in CA Final marks in both Groups, performance in the Personal Interview and medical test conducted by HPCL designated Physician. Apart from this, candidates’ age and duration of work experience will be considered in final selection. Those who get selection will be sent one year training and probation in any of the subsidiaries/Joint Ventures or any department of Government of India. They can earn up to Rs. 20000/- at the time of training period.

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates are required to apply online from the official website of the organization. They should have a valid email id. Candidates will be asked to upload scanned version of recent passport size photograph. Apart from this they have to submit personal details and details of fee payment. Application fee for general category candidates is Rs.500/-. Application fee can be paid online using debit/ credit cards. Apart from this application fee can be paid through challan at any branch of State Bank of India.
Candidates having submitted the online application successfully will be provided with a system generated application form.  Candidates are advised to take print out of system generated application form and preserve it for future reference.
