M.Tech courses in NSIT and Admission Process

Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology offers Master of technology courses in subjects such as Signal Processing, Information System and Process Control. Admission to the courses is carried out on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Those who are seeking admission to part time M.Tech programs are required to clear the entrance exam conducted by the institute.

Eligibility Criterion for Master of Technology full time courses

Candidates who have completed full time Bachelor of Technology/ Engineering courses in any of the following disciplines from the University of Delhi or from a recognized University are eligible to apply.

  • Electronics & Communication
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Instrumentation & Control Engineering

In addition to this candidates are required to clear AMIE/ IETE exams. Admission to the post graduate courses in engineering is carried out on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Eligibility Criterion for Master of Technology part time courses

Those who have completed graduation in respective subjects are eligible to apply for this course. They should have cleared AMIE India Exam. Apart from this candidates are required to have work experience of a minimum of one year in a registered firm/ Educational and Research Institutes or any Government organizations. They are required to submit ‘No Objection Certificate” at the time of admission. Those who have completed a minimum age of 21 years are only eligible to apply.

Eligible candidates are required to apply for the entrance examination conducted by the department concerned for admission process. Those who have cleared the entrance exam will be short listed for personal interview. Final selection will be based on the composite scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam as well as in personal interview.  The maximum marks allotted for selection procedure is 100. Of these 80 marks is from entrance exam/ GATE exam. Remaining 20 marks is calculated from the performance in personal interview. In case of candidates applying for Part time / Sponsored M.Tech courses, the total weightage allotted for  qualifying exam is 50 marks and that for entrance exam conducted by the institute is 30. Maximum marks allotted for personal interview in 20. Admission will be purely based on the order of merit. Final selection will be based on the decisions taken by selection committee.
